March Counterfeit Kit

As if Saturday's are not reason enough to celebrate, but this Saturday (the fifth of the month) was the reveal day for the counterfeit kit challenge. This means I get to go shopping for scrap supplies to match a kit this challenge has designated as kit of the month. Here's the thing, I had to shop from my own stash, so it cost me NOTHING!!! I suggest you play a long to, so check out the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

This month the Counterfeit team of masters of forgery selected Studio Calico. This month Studio Calico launched their main kit and four add-on kits! That's a lot of scrapping. I tried to match all five, but decided after pulling a lot of paper from my stash, I could never complete that many pages in one month. Therefore I looked at the pages I pulled and decided which kit these pages matched best. I found a lot of their main kit "Into the Woods" and I had a lot for the "Wildflowers" add-on kit. I pulled no card-stock because I only want to use that as I go.

When all was said and done this is what I have pulled for my kit. Check back at the end of month and check out what has survived the month.

embellishments

Instead of trying to match the embellishments, I gathered embellishments I felt I would like with these pages. Because I host the progressive challenge with a live round on the last weekend of the month, I wanted to be sure I had any embellishment that challenge may call for. Here's my issue with embellishments: I love making them by hand. Yes, time consuming and you never know what I could build to add to my kit. My other problem is I hate using store bought embellishments because once you use it, it is on the page and can never be used again. I guess I grow attached to my store bought embellishments or I have serious scrapbook-embellishment, hoarding issues.

  10. A girl after my own heart...I pulled extra embellishments too because I need choices! I have a son and I'm putting butterflies on his pages, but I also have a bee, worm and dragonfly stamp. And some little forest animal chip circles that I will use.
