It seems December is full of count downs,
so I wanted to do a count down of my ten favorite layouts/projects. I'd
love to hear about your ten favorite projects. Please comment and leave
me a link to your blog with your ten favorite projects. Here's my list
with links to the original posts and tutorials.
And one last note....
Please leave me a comment with a link to your blog and I'll add your link to this post. Tell your friends to join this informal blog hop, let's say, locomotion since I'm asking everyone to jump on board. On January 31, 2013 I will select one participant for a RAK.

#10- Corrsett Tag- This tag makes it on my top ten list because of its shabby-chic look. I used an old pair of blue jeans with distressing and safety pins pins to give it a shabby look. The stitching, beads and touches of pink give it that feminine look and make it soft and pretty.
#9 Inspire- The soft, gorgeous colors of the November Funtoola kit, "Botanical Etching" in contrast to the bold black make this another favorite layout. The large,dark-pink flowers are from the kit, but the other flowers are hand-made.
#8 - August Page- This is another page in my mom's calendar min album made with the Funtoola's August Kit "Butterfly Dreams." I like this page for all the "real estate" it houses. The overlapping circles all spin open to real small spots for mini pictures. Also I had a blast painting and decorating the butterfly chippie in a "dipped" look.
#7 Cherish- This layout was made with Timeless Romance the October Funtoola kit. This is also based on the sketch at Funtoolas. I adore how the unique shape of the red paper looks. I added some fun hand-made embellishments like the layered butterfly, overlapping flowers, and clay bird.
#6- Brittany Double Decker Album- This was just an awesome-design inspired by my favorite mini-album maker Laura Denison. This album was created for my step-daughter's sweet 16th birthday. I left it relativity plain because I sent her the embellishments to add however she likes. It's pretty clear that I've enjoyed the colors red and brown this year. What is so unique about this album is the letters extend (or telescope) slightly to reveal hiding spots for more pictures.
#5 Love is an Investment- This stand-up album inspired by Heide Swap has so many details it had to make my top ten list. The actual banner for the word "investment: has to be one of my favorite banners I've ever assembled. The papers are from the Father's Day collection from Pion papers. Again more red with this time a lighter brown.
#4 Big Belly Purse Mini- This beyond awesome purse was a RAK on won at the wonderful Flying Unicorn store and scrap website. This album has many pictures of my jumbo-size prego belly pictures. I actually covered the purse in the bib over-alls I wore for both of my pregnancies. I'm so grateful that I was inspired to use the bib overalls because it just adds to the memories.
#3 - Stacey Stand-Up Mini album- The corset focal point of this mini album was from the Funtoola's July kit "Vintage Treasures". I made the Stacey banner entirely from scraps of that kit. This album has pictures of myself and inspirational quotes. Like myself it is a constant work in action. It is another stand-up album inspired by Heide Swapp.
#2 Hope- This layout I can't even take an ounce of credit for because it was a scrap-lift of Kathy Lane's layout "A Special Kind of Love" and it's from the November Funtoola kit, "Botanical Etching" so I didn't even have to think out the paper combinations. I can't help but adore how all the details came together with the soft colors.
#1- Church Mini Album- The number one project this year was the church mini album based on a design available from Laura Denison in which the roof lifts off and it's the binding of a mini album. This album was created for my brother's wedding. I used my score board to make the brick of the church with was my attempt to mimic the church they were married in. I also had fun creating the stain glass windows with a stamp on transparency paper and colored in with glitter glue. I also included pictures of the cover to the mini album and a favorite page from within the album. The papers were also from the Funtoola's July's kit "Vintage Treasures".
I look forward to see your count downs!!
