Distressed Plague

Like most things scrap related. I cannot take credit for developing it. I noticed this plaque looking title made by LaBonita and had to try it. I took pictures as I made it in case anyone else would like to try it.

You will need:
Chipboard or thick letters or objects
Card board
Hot glue
Scissors
Dry wall tape - mesh - found mine at Lowes
Aluminum tape - got mine from the local hardware store
Paints or inks to use for distressing
Wooden Skewers

Glue the letters or whatever you want an impression of onto the box. Line around the edges with the mesh.

I cut a strip off of the mesh to give it a more distressed look.

Next cover the box or plaque in aluminum tape. I used a wooden skewer to rub the aluminum down to provide more depth.

Distress and give the plaque its final colors and distressing with distressing inks and stuff. I used cherry stain and green paint.

Mojo Magic #2

Halloween

Here’s my first edition for scrap with your children and concur mojo magic. Get your little one out and cover their feet in paint. Press the paint on a piece of paper and viola you have foot print ghosts. I used white paint on black paper. When it was done I added eyeballs.

My mom is helping my niece make these prints. I’m not sure where I got the idea from originally, but I made these ghosts on our glass window when my son was little. At that time he was small enough I could lift him up to press his feet throughout the window.

(insert picture)

Iris folded pumpkin...I found a free pattern for a balloon and tweaked it to be a pumpkin. I distressed the edges with ink. Added embellishments include green stiched vines, Cricut cut vines, and twisters colred green.

Using my exacto knife I cut ann "x" through the orange paper. I inked the edges and folded it back so it would reveal the face of one of the ghost prints. Different embellishments and pictures (including this one) are framed with a crackle painted frame and vines.

Paper bag vine. I followed a tutorial from the 52 sketch website.I added flowers I bought at the dollar tree. These flowers have stickles added and in a few spots I glued beads.

Another spinner. I used the Cricut to cut the webs on this page as well as the spider. I added glitter to hide the thread.

Tuckered Out

Here's a layout of my son snoozing and also a picture of our old dog, Faybien, as she snoozed on a pillow. I was inspired by two artist that display their work at scrapbook.com: 2dogs and Prentiss.

Handmade cowboys cactus: Rolled plain paper around a toothpick and glues...coated in green chalk. Moisten and cut a small “v” shaped nick in elbow joins. Attached cloth as neck scarf...alcohol die on brown paper towel for hat and belt...aluminum tape for buckle and gun...twine for lasso...fence is correlated cardboard

Handmade tag using an iris fold moon. Stitched border; shoot stars brad and beads; twist-tied beaded stars poking out of the tag; stickle covered; eyelet

This is a close up of the bow with the attached metal tag and saw. I made the saw by placing aluminum tape on a Styrofoam plate. I cute the edge using friska shaping scissors. The handle is correlated cardboard.
