My Baby- Pages in Time Sketch

I used the Pages in Time sketch of the week for the inspiration for this page.

This is for my friend's baby album. I have one more page to make and the cover before I can get shipped out to her. And a big congrats to my dear friend on the arrival of her little princess.

I used princess gift wrap and other matching gift wrap to make this album. That gorgeous flower was one I received in a swap from Cassondra Bennett. I'm loving my new EK layered butterfly punch.

I created a waterfall. The idea has been done on cards and I couldn't see why i couldn't use it on a layout with pictures. It took me forever to figure it out, but now that I have you can expected to see this often. I love interactive features on pages.

Here's a close up of the continued Love You Forever story by Robert Munsch. Plus you can check out that gorgeous flower a little better in this shot and see the space where my friend will soon get to journal about her lil princess.

This is the cover to my friend's new addition. I based this on GabriellaP's "Natural Beauty". In place of the chippies I went with the shadowbox effect. This is my first with this technique and I love it. I also coated everything in modge podge to help keep it protected since it is the cover. Another reason for the modge podge is that my friend and I went through a phase together where we cover everything in modge podge.

Edge work around the shadow box.

Let me not forget the profound thank you to my dear friend Amy AKA "Crafty Mom of 5" for the incredible blue flowers and butterflies. You must check out her amazing work at her ESTY shop.

Womb with a View

Here's another premade page for Auntie TaTa's Baby album. This page is meant for an ultrasound and baby bump picture.

I made this with items from my Counterfeit Kit. The papers are ColorBlok and Memory Keepers "Old Glory." It is based on this week's Pages in Time Sketch. Also the PIT Design Team was challenged to complete a page using a postcard. My little postcard says "Get me out of here! I can't wait to meet you."

This is also for the chippie challenge at SB.com. Thanks Lisa for the great 3tailscraft chippie. I painted the chippie with gold and bronze. I also added glossy accents and a flower in the middle. I was going more for a pocket watch than clock so I added a chain.

I created a tag by masking . Don't you love this big beautiful flower from "MotherGoose."She makes some very amazing flowers.

May 28 30 Minute Scrap Workout

Being organized and having a sketch in mind helps your complete pages more quickly. My first few attempts at a 30 minute layout I tried to include my time making embellishments in the 30 minutes. In reality between planning and making any handmade embellishments I’ve put in more time than 30 minutes. Yet when you twist the timer and hear the ticking you really set a faster pace for your work. Even after the timer has gone off and I’ve had parts of a page to complete, I still feel under pressure and my pace continues at its quick speed.

I challenge you to set a timer and try a 30 minute scrap workout. Even if you don’t succeed and need some extra time share with me your work and how long it did take you to make the page. I have a linky devise set up for you to make a link to your blog or gallery to show off your achievements.

Here's my first attempt using my counterfeit kit.

This is also for challenge 2.We had to seel inspiration from our favorite manufacture. I choice Prima and I attempted to sew one of their flowers from the Regent Collection. See the orignal flower here.

And here's the one I have a video for. The video will show you exactly how I did this in about 30 minutes. I hope to get the video loaded shortly.

SUPPLY LIST

Embellishments here- Amy’s flowers,??? Flowers, faux bling dragonfly, wheat stalks

As you can see I made it this time (kind of), but I didn’t have my title made. This took me an extra 10 minutes. Please come back next week and see if I can get a page completed in 30 minutes. What do you think, can I complete a page in 30? What about you? Can you complete a page in 30 minutes? Give it a try and link it back to this post with the time it does take you. "Come on girls lift those scissors, apply that adhesive, YOU CAN DO IT!!"
