Funtool Butterfly Dream Bingo 3rd call

Saturday's word: Black cardstock

Schwiet Garden ~~~ Twine Butterfly

Every odd day of the month I will present a new gardening tip. The best news is you don't have to be a green thumb to have success with these tips because they are suggested tutorials for flowers to be included in your crafts.
I do believe our garden needs another butterfly. I would like to share a pin I found at Pinterest. This butterfly looks so simple no tutorial is needed. Check out and I hope you will create a Twine Butterfly.

Please come join me at Funtoolas August Bloom or Butterflies Challenge for a opportunity to show off  any type of flower or butterfly on your craft project. One lucky random winner will receive a RAK.

Funtoola Bingo

I wanted to post today our first BINGO word for Funtoola's August Bingo:

Color me gold swirls

If you have this word cross it off your list. Congrats on a great start. If you do not have that word check back for tomorrow's word and hopefully you will have better luck.

The first person to have all ten of their words called is the winner!

If you didn't get sign up in time to play this month, be sure to get a list in September. The next set of words will debut on September 2nd with the reveal of the September Funtoola kit.  Regardless there are plenty of other things you can do at Funtoolas.

Funtoolas Second Reveal

Today I want to share some more of the wonderful Butterfly Dreams Funtoola Kit.
I've made another page for my stand-up album (a Heide Swapp lesson). I started this album last month and I share before this album will be a constant work in progress. I plan to add pages to this album of pictures of happy times along with some wonderful quotes.

Here's the album updated

This page is based on Mojo Monday 253 sketch and I must say these sketches are easy to work with.and I'm not sure if it was the sketch or the fact that I stuck to the kit that allowed me to complete this page in a few hours. Of course, it could be that I made no flowers or embellies and tried no complicated techniques. Regardless, I'm happy with the results.

And because the papers were double-sided I cut out the background paper and one matted the page shown and I will finish the back that is framed by the background paper.

Please come join me at Funtoolas August Bloom or Butterflies Challenge for a opportunity to show off  any type of flower or butterfly on your craft project. One lucky random winner will receive a RAK.

Schwiet Garden ~~~ Wild Rose

Every odd day of the month I will present a new gardening tip. The best news is you don't have to be a green thumb to have success with these tips because they are suggested tutorials for flowers to be included in your crafts.

Here's another flower in my top ten of must use flowers: wild rose. What I love about these wild flowers is the distressed look they use. My favorite ones are actually made from brown paper bags. The distressing techniques make these flowers pretty durable.

August ~~~ Funtoola kit and April 1 Sketch

And another page done for the memory box mini album with magnificent Funtoola Kit "Butterfly Dreams". And for this one I used the April 1st Funtoola sketch. You have to check out some of these great past sketches here.

I made the vine and used wild roses as the flower on the vine with the realistic vines. Check back tomorrow for the link.

My favorite piece is the 3TailsCraft Sideways butterfly that I painted in gold, bronze and brick red trying to create a dipped look all topped with glitter glue. The large, visible, black mat is actually part of the packaging from the butterfly. I also attached my whirly gig flower to this page

The banner under the title is something I've seen the talented Shona do.

I did use the pearl flourish from last month's kit. The circle all spin out to reveal more space for additional pictures.

And if your a member of Funtoola's we have a lot in store for your this month. If your not a part of Funtoola's what are you waiting for? It's free to sign up. I'm hosting a Funtoolas August Bloom or Butterflies Challenge for a opportunity to show off  any type of flower or butterfly on your craft project. One lucky random winner will receive a RAK.
